The option to compare last year's and this year's budget within QuickBooks Online (QBO) is currently unavailable. You'll want to run each year's budget and export it to Excel. Then, compare it from there. Here's how:
- Sign in to your QBO account.
- Click Reports from the left menu.
- Search for the Budget Overview report.
- In the Report period drop-down, select This Calendar Year. Then, click Run report.
- Click the Export icon, then select Export to Excel.
- Once done, change the reporting period to Last Calendar Year and click Run report.
- Then, export the report again.
After exporting them to Excel, you can compare both reports from there.
