Can anyone explain why the word ESTIMATE and the estimate # do not show on the printed or emailed estimate?

Why is much of the printing greyed out, except the description and the dollar amount?

Can anyone explain why the word ESTIMATE and the estimate # do not show on the printed or emailed estimate?

Thank you for reaching out to us here on the Community page, @area51electronic.

The word Estimate the Estimate # won't show up when printing or emailing estimates if the box beside the Form name and Form numbers from your Custom Form Styles is not checked.

To include these details on your estimates, you have to customize the template you're currently using.

  1. Select Custom Form Styles under Your Company from the Gear icon.
  2. Under the Custom form styles page, look for the template you're using.
  3. Click on the Edit link under Action.
  4. Go to the Content section and click o the upper part of the Preview page.
  5. Check the box beside Form band Form numbers.
  6. Hit Done to record the changes.

On the other hand, QuickBooks works as designed when printing forms. Most forms make the amounts and items clearer or bolder than the other details in it.
