Can each customer invoice delivery method be set for Email only, Print only, or both Email + Print for batch deliveries? How to, without duplicating sending?

Some customers only want ONE method of delivery. The problem is, many customers want BOTH methods (Email + Print) to recieve their bills.

Hi there, jdblueeyes.

I'll share some information about how invoices work in QuickBooks Online.

Yes, we can set a preferred delivery method to your customers in the Customer information window. However, the program will still offer us all the important functions from printing to emailing an invoice when we create an invoice for our customers. This way, we'll no longer have to go to another menu or page just perform a specific task for the invoice.

Here's how to set a preferred delivery method:

  1. Select Sales from the sidebar menu.
  2. Choose the Customers tab.
  3. Select then click the appropriate customer.
  4. Go to the Customer Details tab, then click the Edit button.
  5. In the Payment and billing section, select the appropriate method from the Preferred Delivery method drop-down menu.

Please know that there are plenty of third-party that integrates QuickBooks Online. You'll want to visit our QuickBooks App Center to find an app the will meet your business needs. You can also follow these steps in searching the app:

  1. Login to qbo.intuit.com
  2. Select Apps from the sidebar menu.
  3. Enter a keyword in the search bar or click the Browse category button to filter the results.

I encourage checking out this article that will help you in personalizing and designing your invoices.
