Can I change the layout of a purchase order? I do not want the accepted by on the bottom

I understand the importance of being able to customize your purchase order template, @rfvannorman.

Currently, the ability to change the format of your purchase order is unavailable. While the feature is not yet available, you can visit our QuickBooks App center and check for any third-party applications that offer the feature your business needs.

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to the Apps menu.
  3. Enter "Customize Purchase Order Template" in the Search for an app field.
  4. If you have found the app you're looking for, just click Get App Now.

Also, you can visit our QuickBooks Blog. From there, you can see the future developments and the latest news about QuickBooks and what our Product Care Team is working on.

In case you need a reference on how to customize other transaction form templates, here's an article made available for you: How to customize templates.

Know that you can always visit our Help Articles for QuickBooks Online in case you need some tips and related articles for your future tasks.

Did the information I shared above answer your question as to why you're not able to change the format of the built-in purchase orders?

I'll be sure to get back to you if you need more clarification about tracking your expense transactions. Wishing you continued success!

Just in case anyone ends up here - looking for a solution to the "can't customize the horrible PO in QuickBooks Online" issue - this "SEARCH" leads to a big fat ZERO returns.  So, don't waste your time.

This has been an ongoing issue with QuickBooks Online for over 2 years now.  Numerous threads here in support all say the same thing:

1. Search for an "add on app" - which - there are NONE as of 6/28/2021!!!!!!

2. Ask our engineers very nicely - they really want to help add features.  Which is a joke or it would have been done YEARS ago.

Can I change the layout of a purchase order? I do not want the accepted by on the bottom

Yes, I did end up here searching for resolution.  The very WEIRD thing is that when I set up one of my companies over a year ago, I WAS able to modify the PO template. Today when I print the PO, it defaults back to the horrible baseline...they had the capability and took it away - really????

Hello QB Team -

WHY did I have the capability to change the PO template over a year ago and now do not have the capability??

WHY did you remove this capability from my company templates??

I know that having the capability to change the PO template is important to your business, @RSK1.

The capability of changing the PO template in the past was for beta testing. In addition, only a few of the users may have utilized this capability, this is the main reason why product developers decided to discontinue this feature.

To benefit from product experience, I recommend sending feedback to our product developers. That said, they'll know that the capability to change the PO template is crucial while making transactions.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon on the top right.
  2. Select Feedback.

  3. Hit Next to submit suggestions.

I've also included an article where you can learn more about creating attractive sales forms: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Please comment below if you have any QuickBooks-related concerns. I'm always here to get you heard. Stay safe and well.
