Yes, you can replace the administrator or the account. However, you'll need to log in as the Primary Admin to be able to edit and assign a new Administrator.
Here's how:
- Sign in to QuickBooks Online as the current primary admin. If you can’t sign in, you can recover your user ID or password.
- Click the Gear icon ⚙ and choose Manage users.
- Find the primary admin and click Edit.

- Make the necessary changes (Name, Last Name, and Email Address).
- For security, we send a verification code to the phone number or email on file for your account. When you receive the verification code, enter it and select Continue.
- Select Make primary admin again to confirm the change.
- Sign out of QuickBooks.
