can i delete a bank account showing on my trial report

In QuickBooks Online, we don't have a direct way to delete a bank account that appears on your Trial Balance report if there are transactions associated with it, Yvonnekb.

We have two ways to remove your Bank account either making your bank account inactive or exporting the Trial balance report into Excel.

To make the account inactive. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Chart of accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to delete.
  3. In the Action column, click the dropdown and select Make inactive.
  4. There will be a prompt message to confirm. Click the Yes, make inactive button to proceed.

When you make an account with a balance inactive, QuickBooks generates a journal entry that transfers the remaining balance to another account. All your existing transactions remain intact and continue to appear on your financial reports. However, if you choose to reactivate the account later, QuickBooks will not reverse the balance transfer or modify the journal entry.

You can check out this article for more details about making an account inactive: Make an account inactive on your chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online.

On the other hand, you can visit this article exporting your trial balance report: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online. From there, you can personalize the report and remove the specific bank from the report.
