Can I delete customer credit card information?

Hi there, s3proservices.

I understand how beneficial it is for your business to delete the customer's credit card information.

I'll provide another way to do this in QuickBooks Payments.

Once you've saved the information, we're unable to delete it. Otherwise, we can only modify it to keep the information up-to-date. That said, I suggest forwarding this feedback to our Product Developers so they can add this recommendation to future product enhancements.

I'll show you how:

  1. Click the Gear icon and choose Feedback.
  2. Enter your feedback Suggestion.
  3. Press Next.

To help you manage your customers moving forward, you can see this article for more details: Add and manage customers in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know how else I can help you with accounting customer's payment methods by commenting below. I'm here to answer them for you. Take care always.

Can I delete customer credit card information?

I appreciate you for taking the time to follow my colleague's steps, s3pro

Before we begin, may I ask if you have encountered any specific error or prompt as you overwrite the credit card information? This allows us to identify what's the best course of action.

In the meantime, I suggest using other supported or private web browsers to eliminate any potential issues caused by browsing history or cached files. Here are the shortcut keys for accessing private browsers:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

In addition, here's an article that you can use as a reference when managing your customers: Add and manage customers in QuickBooks Online

The comment section is always open for any additional information you provide. Just take your time to reply.
