Hey there, Penny.
You can set a different company for invoices without having to change the actual company name in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
All you have to do is set up and use location tracking in QuickBooks. Then, set a location information and use that when creating an invoice. Let me show you how:
First, turn on location tracking
- Go to Settings ⚙, then select Account and settings.
- Select Advanced.
- In the Categories section, select the Edit ✎ icon.
- Select the checkbox to track locations.
- Select Save, then Done.
Then, add a location
- Go to Settings ⚙, then select All lists.
- Select Locations.
- Select New, then add the Name of the location you want to track.
- Check the "This location has a different company name when communicating with customers." box and enter a name for your company.
- Select Save and close.
Once done, create an invoice and use this location. You should now see the company name that was set for this location when printing your invoices.
Please let me know if you have additional questions with regard to managing your sales transactions. I'm always here to help. Have a good one.
