Re: Can I make Class a required field?

Hi there, @tomallison3!

Presently, the Class field can't be set as a required field. But you have the option to turn on a warning prompt so you won't miss adding a class to a transaction. Let me show you how.

  1. In the upper-right corner, click on the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Account and Setting.
  3. In the left panel, click Advanced.
  4. Click on the Categories section.
  5. If you haven't already, check the option labeled Track classes.
  6. Under that option, check the item labeled Warn me when a transaction isn’t assigned a class.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Click Done.

Once done, you'll get a prompt asking you to assign a class if in case you forget adding one in a transaction. You can read this article to learn more about this feature:  How to Set Up and Use Class and Location Tracking.
