Can I still input a 2018 budget?

Hi engelwright2000,

Yes, you can still create a budget for 2018 by following these steps:

  1. Click the Gear icon located in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. Under Tools, click Budgeting.
  3. Click the Add budget button.
  4. Choose the fiscal year from the Fiscal Year drop-down list.
  5. Select the Interval, Pre-fill data, and Subdivide by.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Enter the information, and click Save or Save and close.

You can also check this article for more information: How to Create, Edit, and Manage Budgets.

I'll be around if you need more help with QuickBooks. Thanks.

Can I still input a 2018 budget?

06/29/2020

I am currently taking a QB course for my Accounting degree. Our fictitious company completes transactions in the year 2018. In chapter 8 (case 01, step 3) we are to create a budget. We are supposed to use FY 2018 from the drop-down list but that is not an option. The only options available are FY2019-2025. If we were to create the budget with FY2019, and then try to create the Budget vs. Actual report, it will have no data to import because all our transactions occur in 2018. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Thanks.

April Lynn
