Can I use Quickbooks as a US business owner based in Turkey? Mobile number requirements are not allowing me to proceed.

The phone number you can enter in QuickBooks Online will depend on the region you've signed up for. If you are using QBO for the US, you'll need to enter a US phone number.

However, if your business is located in Turkey, you'll have to subscribe to an international version of QuickBooks Online.

Once done, you can now sign up for a new account specific to Turkey. Just select your country in this link and follow the process to create your account: QuickBooks Online International. 

We can also use the Location Tracking feature to easily categorize your data based on your location. This will help you to easily identify where the majority of your business income is coming from.

We can turn on this feature by following these steps:

1. Click the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
2. Go to the Advanced section.
3. In the Categories section, select the Pencil icon.
4. Turn on Track locations by toggling the button. 
5. Click Save and select Done.

In addition, we can turn on and use the Multi-currency feature in QBO. This way, you can use it to track your transactions using foreign currencies. 

Here's how to turn on multi-currency:

1. Go to Settings .
2. Go to Account and Settings, then go to Advanced.
3. Select Edit ✎ to modify your currency settings.
4. Choose the Multicurrency checkbox.
5. Select Save and close.

Thanks for your response but my business is a US business, I own a C-Corp, and I'm based in Turkiye, so I don't have a US mobile phone number. Happy to go through the additional verification process, but I need to skip the mobile thing and still be able to use US-specific accounting features as I need them.

The Mobile Number is always part of the verification process. QuickBooks will send a code to your number as proof that you are using the digit. QuickBooks always ensure your safety to avoid fraudulent actions. With that, we will need to provide information in this field.

If you don't have US number, consider using QB Desktop instead. You can purchase the license via selected partners/resellers if required.

You may have 2 options:

1. Ask your Accountant to purchase QB Desktop 2023 Accountant edition for single user. You will use QB Desktop Pro Plus or Premier Plus for single user.

2. Purchase QB Desktop 2023 Pro Plus or Premier Plus for 2 users. Setup a simple private cloud solution on your computer and Your accountant will be able to access your QuickBooks files over the internet in multiuser mode at the same time  if needed.
