Can the automatic message generated when you email statements or invoices be changed permanently? I am looking to have a standard message different from current default.

Can the automatic message generated when you email statements or invoices be changed permanently? I am looking to have a standard message different from current default.

Hi there, babqb,

 

Yes, you can change the message generated when you email statements or invoices. QuickBooks Desktop lets you create multiple templates for each transaction, then set one of them as the default message.

 

Let me show you how:

  1. Go to the Edit menu, then select Preferences.
  2. Select Send forms from the left navigation bar, then choose Company Preferences.
  3. From the Delivery Method Default drop-down menu, click Email.
  4. Select a transaction type from the Email Templates drop-down menu.
  5. Click Add Template.
  6. Enter a unique name, then customize the subject line and body, then click Save.
  7. Highlight the new template you've just created, then click Default.
