Can the new tags feature be turned off?

Tags are designed to help you easily track your transaction in QuickBooks Online (QBO). You can tag invoices, bills, and expenses to easily manage them. For more details about this, you can refer to this article: Tag transactions in QuickBooks Online.

However, the option to remove/turn off the Tag feature isn’t possible in QBO. We recently received reports about this and it's already been tag as closed.

For now, I’d recommend reaching out to our Support team. They have the proper tools to check your account and help you in removing this feature. Let me guide you on how to reach out to them:

1. Go to the (?) Help icon. 
2. Choose the Talk to a human option (type it again if prompted).
3. Select I still need a human.
4. Click the Contact us.
5. Enter the details of your concern, then click Let's talk.
6. Choose either Get a callback or Send a message (if you prefer to chat).

The tag function will work well for morons who use QB and don't know bookkeeping.  To me it's one more useless field to scroll through
