I have a couple of scenarios and their respective resolutions in mind that can help you change the description in the memo field.
If you're referring to the memo description of an item, here's how to do it:
1. Go to Gear icon.
2. Select Products and services.
3. Click Edit to a specific item.
4. Click Save and Close.
And if you're referring to the memo of the check, you can follow these steps below:
1. Go to +New tab.
2. Click Check.
3. Under Payee tab remove the Memo field towards the bottom.
4. Finally click Save and Close.
