Can you set the custom reports that you schedule to send in a certain order when emailed automatically?

Can you set the custom reports that you schedule to send in a certain order when emailed automatically?  For example, the Balance sheet before the profit & loss.

Also, if you can only schedule the custom reports and not the Management Reports, is there a way to get the cover page and title page set up to add to the custom reports to send?

Can you set the custom reports that you schedule to send in a certain order when emailed automatically?

Hi there, Barb_Cook.

Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I'll be sharing steps to ensure you can set the custom reports in QuickBooks Online based on what you desired. Then, discuss how Custom and Management Report works in the program.

Yes, you can schedule custom reports to be sent in a certain order when emailed automatically. To do this, I suggest setting up the recurrence so you can choose specific repeats or dates to email the report on particular terms.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Business overview and choose Reports. Then, select the Custom reports tab.
  2. Find your custom report on the list.
  3. Click Edit from the Action column.
  4. Select Set email schedule to turn it on.
  5. Choose a specific repeat period like daily or weekly.
  6. Add the email addresses of to who you want to send the report to.
  7. Fill out the form and set the schedule.
  8. Click Save and close.

On the other hand, an option to get the cover and title page set up to add to the custom reports is currently unavailable. This is because Custom and Management Reports have several features and functions that work differently and are meant to work independently. For now, you can only email the Management Reports manually or send them directly within the day.

Lastly, you may refer to this article to view steps on how you can print, email, and export reports in QBO so you have a copy of your financial data: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.

Feel free to get back to me if you have additional questions about managing your reports in QuickBooks. I'm always up to lend a hand, Barb_Cook. Have a great day!
