Cant add another checking account

I'm here to help ensure you're able to add a checking account in QuickBooks Online, griffinncox-gmai.

 

You can manually add an account on the Chart of Accounts (COA) so you can track business transactions. To do so, please follow these steps I've outlined below:

 

  1. Go to Settings ⚙, then select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Click  New.
  3. From the Account type section, select Bank.
  4. Choose Checking from the Detail Type section.
  5. Enter the name of your bank.
  6. Enter the actual bank balance in the Balance field and date in the as of section.
  7. Click Save and Close.
     

After adding the checking account, you can connect it for online banking.

Once all set, QuickBooks will automatically download transactions. All you need to do is categorize, match, and add them to your bank register.
