Change Order "pop-up" not coming up when changing estimate

For some reason the pop-up window asking if you want to create a change order is not coming up when I'm editing a previous estimate.  It used to function properly but now it's not asking if I want to create a change order.  Very confused!

Nice to see you here in the Community, @blh24

 

Let's go over to your preferences so you can see the Add Change Order pop-up when editing an old estimate.

 

Here are the possible reasons you're unable to see the pop-up window to appear on the transaction screen: 

  • Beep when recording a transaction box, Warn when editing a transaction, Warn when deleting a transaction or unused list item boxes are unchecked. 
  • The Ask is not selected under the Keep custom item information when changing item in transactions section. 

 

To review the boxes on the preferences: 

  1. Go to the Edit menu at the top. 
  2. Select PreferencesAddChangeOrder1.PNG
  3. Go to General from the left menu. 
  4. Choose the My Preferences tab. 
  5. Check the Beep when recording a transaction box, Warn when editing a transaction, Warn when deleting a transaction or unused list item boxes.
  6. Select Ask under the Keep custom item information when changing item in transactions section. 
  7. Click OKAddChangeOrder2.PNG

 

After that, go back to your estimate and you'll be able to see the pop-up window when creating an estimate with change order. You can check out the screenshot below for your reference.
