Changing Invoice Date within the Calendar button

When I want to change the date of an invoice for tomorrow, typically I can click the calendar icon under Invoice Date, it will open this month's dates and I can click a different date in the calendar and it will automatically change the invoice date, to what I pick. Now it won't. I will click a different date than today, and it just stays today's date. HELP?!

Changing Invoice Date within the Calendar button

Greetings, ReillyJohnson96.

I want to make sure you can choose another date when creating an invoice in QuickBooks Desktop.

Let's perform some basic troubleshooting to fix the issue. To start,  we can toggle the option under the Preferences section.

Here's how:

1. Click the Edit tab at the top menu.
2. Click Preferences.
3. Go to General.
4. Under Default Date To Use For New Transactions, toggle between the two options.
5. Click OK.

If the problem continues after following the steps above, let's proceed with running the Verify/Rebuild Data Utility tool. This tool will help us detect any data issues going on with the company file.

To verify data:

1. Click the File tab at the top menu.
2. Select Utilities.
3. Click Verify Data.

To rebuild your data:

1. Click the File tab at the top menu.
2. Select Utilities.
3. Click Rebuild data.
