Chart of Accounts

Hi....I work for a small production company and we code each show by name and code numbers.  The code numbers are always the same and I was hoping someone could tell me if there is a way I can duplicate as opposed to creating the same numbers every time.  Thanks so much.

Chart of Accounts

Hi there, nsquitieri.

I'm here to share some information about how the Chart of Accounts works.

By default, QuickBooks Desktop doesn't allow entering the same account numbers in the Number field. If you're attaching the code numbers in the Account Name field, the option to duplicate them is unavailable. You'll have to manually enter the numbers every time you set up new accounts.
