Company has 2 food trucks. Income & expenses are set up by truck. How can I pull a separate P&L for each truck?

Example: each truck has IM gas or ML gas, IM food purchases, ML food purchases, IM restaurant supplies, ML restaurant supplies.  How do I pull a Profit & Loss for the IM or ML income/expense?

You can utilize the class tracking in QBO Plus to do so.

It's good to see you here, @likethesoup628-p.

I want to share additional insights about tracking your cash flow for multiple trucks and viewing them on your financial reports. Just a heads up, QuickBooks Online can only pull up one Profit and Loss report per account. This means that separating funds between multiple businesses or sources isn't possible at the moment.

But don't worry. There is an option to identify which transactions belong to what source through the class tracking option. Use classes to tag transactions for each truck. Here's how to enable the feature:

  1. Tap the Gear icon and choose Account and Settings.
  2. Go to the Advanced tab and pick Categories.
  3. Use the Track classes slider to turn on the feature in your account.
  4. Select Save, and then Done.

Once set up, you can assign these classes your sales or expense transactions. See this example:

After the transactions are tagged, you can open any reports and filter them by Class. Check out these related links for your reference:

Please post again if you have follow-up questions about tracking or tagging transactions from multiple sources. I'll be more than happy to assist you anytime. Have a great rest of the week!
