Correcting a misspelling in chart of accounts

It's my pleasure to help you today, jmckiii.

Editing an account name from your Chart of Accounts will not remove your account's history. Transactions under it will remain.

Below are the steps to guide you:

  1. From the Accounting menu, choose Chart of Accounts.
  2. Select the account you want to change the name.
  3. Click the Account history drop-down and choose Edit.

  4. Enter the correct name and click Save and Close.
