I can help you generate a customer list report of all active customers, @projectcoordinator.
To avoid every single job from appearing, you can use and filter the Customer Contact List to show specific customers only.
Here's how:
- Go to the Reports menu and then select Customers & Receivables, then choose Customer Contact List.
- Click the Customize Report button on the upper left corner of the report window.
- In the Filters tab, type customer in the Search box and then choose Customer.
- From the Customer drop-down list, select Multiple customers/jobs.
- Check all the active customer names that you wanted to display on the customers' list and then click OK.
- Hit OK to save the entire customization of the report.
This will show the active customers excluding every single customer job listed under the customer's name.
Just in case you wanted to remove the unnecessary columns, you can reselect the Customize Report button and simply search for the column headers in the Display tab like for example type "Bill" and then uncheck Bill to and then click OK. You can uncheck multiple columns by finding them in the Display tab's Search box to remove them from the report to show only a few customer details, making it small. You can also add extra columns by checking the column name to include it on the report.
For other helpful details on how to add columns and filter reports, you can reference this article: Customize report in QuickBooks Desktop.
Additionally, you can save the customized report by hitting the Memorize button at the top of the report window and then see it in the Reports menu under Memorized Reports.
