Thanks for dropping by the Community, @hughesmechanicalnh.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) has the ability to customize an estimate template. This will let you decide the widths of the description, date, amount, quantity, and rate columns. The option to make the company logo show can also be found there.

Here's how:

  1. In QBO, go to the Gear icon at the top right to get to the Custom Form Styles
  2. Locate the estimate template, then tick the Edit option under the Action column.
  3. In the Design tab, pick the Make logo edits and select Show logo
  4. After that, proceed to the Content tab, then click the Pencil (edit) icon in the body section.
  5. Click the Edit Labels and Widths and make the necessary changes.
  6. Once done, hit Done.

For more information about the process, consider checking out this article: Customize your invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Just in case, I'll add this article for future reference: Set up and use estimates.

Hi rhiannaa,

Thank you for joining in.

When choosing the right apparel, you'll want to select the item to add to your estimate. Then, tag your transaction with a Location to indicate that this is coming from this location/factory.

I can see the Fritz answer explains everything that you can do to create an estimate template. Therefore, I would recommend contacting our Support team at this point. That way, they can start a screen-sharing session to guide you when creating the template.

If you have other questions in mind, feel free to go back to this thread.

Thanks a lot @FritzF for sharing this method. I was also emailing the estimates to my client mandslawyers but unfortunately, I was facing some errors. After reading your reply, I follow all of the steps that you have mentioned above in your post, and now everything is perfect.
Thank you :)

Hello there, @hughesmechanicalnh.

Let's make sure to set your QuickBooks online delivery preference to send estimates as PDF file attachments. I can guide you in doing so.

  1. Go to the Gear icon .
  2. Choose Account and Settings.
  3. Select the Sales menu.
  4. Scroll down to the Online Delivery section.
  5. From the Email options for all sales forms option, mark Show short summary in email.
  6. Put a checkmark on the PDF Attached tick box.
  7. Click the Save button.
  8. Hit Done

Also, you can review it on your Custom Form Styles page. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose the Custom Form Style.
  3. Select the estimate template you're using.
  4. From the Actions column, click Edit.
  5. Pick the Emails tab.
  6. Mark the Summarized Details and PDF attached tick box.
  7. Click Done.
