Credit back from a bank after fraud on debit card

I had a fradulent charge on my debit card. It came through as a purchase from the checking account on QBO. My bank was able to credit me back the amount. The bank issued a one time credit for the full amount. QBO shows the credit SIX times (each for the full amount) in my banking tab. How do I take care of this?

Credit back from a bank after fraud on debit card

Hello there, @stvnkrchnr!

You can add or match only one of the six bank transactions and exclude the other five.

  1. Go to Banking.
  2. Under Bank and Credit Cards, select your credit card account.
  3. On the For Review tab, select all the other five transactions.
  4. Select Batch actions.
  5. Click Exclude Selected.

In addition, here's an article you can read to learn more about excluding your bank transactions: Exclude expenses from downloaded bank transactions.

Lastly, I've got you this helpful article for ideas about reviewing a transaction in your bank account register: Find, review, and edit transactions in account registers.

Keep me posted in the comments if you have any other questions. I'll be here to lend a hand.
