Custom fields in transaction lists

Is there a way to link Item List Custom fields directly to Build Assembly so that we can take a couple of different cells from the Item List>Custom Fields and drop into the costings for Build Assembly?

Custom fields in transaction lists

Hi there, surge801.

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. I’m here to share some information about linking Item List custom fields to a Build Assembly in QuickBooks Desktop.

Currently, the option to link the Item List custom fields isn’t available. You can customize the Build Assemblies with what is available on the Customization screen.

If you wish to customize the design and layout of your Build Assemblies, you can follow the steps below on how:
1.    Click Inventory at the top.
2.    Select Build Assemblies.
3.    Click on Customize drop down and select Customize Design and Layout.
4.    On the Customize Your QuickBooks Forms screen, you can choose either Create New Design or Customize Data Layout.

While this option isn’t available, I’d recommend providing us your insight and opinion by clicking Help on the top menu and selecting Send Feedback Online. By doing so, our product team would know what you liked and what we can improve to make it better.

That should be it. Let me know if there’s anything else I can do. I’ll be here to help. Enjoy your day!
