Customer statements

Is there any way in Quickbooks online to create customer statements the way you can in QB Pro desktop? Select all customer and then select "do not print for customers with zero balance"? We have over 1400 customers and quite a few have a balance.

Yes, you have the option to hide the accounts with zero balances. It would be my pleasure to walk you through the step-by-step instructions to create a Balance Forward statement for customers in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

You can follow these steps:

  1. Go to + New.
  2. Then select Statement.
  3. Choose Balance Forward in the Statement Type drop-down.
  4. Select the date range of the transactions that will be included.
  5. Under Customer Balance Status, choose Open in the drop-down menu.
  6. Click Apply. It will show the Recipients List.
  7. Click Save and close.

For information about creating a statement in QBO, please browse this article: Create and view customer statements.

To learn more about how to set up recurring transactions, add templates, and other related topics in QBO, check this article: Create recurring transactions

I've also added this article that can guide you to enter charges directly into the customer’s register: Create statement charges.

Know that you can always get back to us if you have queries about customer-related transactions. I'll be here to keep an eye on your response and assist you with it. Take care!
