Join nowWe presently run four different P&L reports to achieve a single P&L report in Excel where we group income and expense into a revenue center and then report it FYtD | PYtD | Annual Budget.
I cannot find any routine or procedure for moving expense account code(s) (rows) in a customized report to follow the related income account code(s). For instance, if I have revenue for a Convention event and want to follow it immediately with the expenses for that Convention resulting in a net revenue and then sum the net revenues to a total net revenue before administrative expenses.

Moving rows and customizing a report the way you wanted is a good feature. However, the option to do so is unavailable in QuickBooks Online.
As a way around, we can export the report into Excel and move the rows from there (see the sample screenshot).
While it's unavailable, I'd suggest submitting feedback within your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. This way, it goes to our product developers to help improve your experience while using the program. Here's how.
I'm including this article: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online. This will help us save the report's current customization.
If I can be of additional assistance while working with QuickBooks reports, please let me know, jbatySB2. I'm always ready to help.

Thank you for the prompt response. Yes, this is our present work around that is both time consuming and risks error in reporting if a rigorous process is not followed. I will take the advice to propose a feature addition to product services and in the meantime continue to produce our P&L reporting using this process. Additional to this would be the ability to report the annual budget as a total column and a YTD Budget only without the monthly columns, again, something we do with Excel export.
