Daily Report showing sales items from newly created invoices

I currently run a custom daily report based on the Sales by Product/Service Detail report. My only issue is the  products included are based on invoice date, not invoice created date. I upload this report into Google Sheets for inventory tracking and would like the items to be reported the day they are entered on an invoice.
thanks.

Daily Report showing sales items from newly created invoices

Hello there, KKensrue.

I'm here to give details about how you can customize your daily sales items report in QuickBooks Online(QBO).

In QBO, you'll have the option to customize your report. You can run Sales by Product/Service Detail report. Then, you can customize it by Transaction Type(Invoice). QuickBooks will pull up base on the transaction date.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Sales by Product/Service Details report.
  3. Click Customize.
  4. Enter the reporting period you want to show on the report.
  5. In the Rows/Columns dropdown, checkmark the Product/Service, Created By, and Last-Modified.
  6. In the Filter dropdown, choose Invoice in the Transaction Type.
  7. Hit Run report.

If you want the item logs, just like when the items are added in the sales transactions. Currently, the option isn't available yet in QBO. Instead, you can use the Audit Log to check for changes or activities made on the account.

For your reference, you can review this article for other reports that you can customize in QBO: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

In addition, you can check out this resource to learn how you can export your report to excel. Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online. This way it's easier for you to track your items.
