Dashboard sales at zero

Hi there,


SInce two days now my dashboard sales report shows 0. How can i fix that bug?

Let me get the help you need for you to get back to business, Reeflexdivers.

To get started, you can perform some basic troubleshooting steps like using an incognito/private browser. Just follow the keyboard shortcuts below to open a private browser:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift +N

Once done, access your account again and check if everything is now working. If it works, to ensure this doesn't happen again, it's a good idea to clear the cache of the browser you're using.

Hi Mirriam,


Thank you so much for your help. Unfortunately it didn't fix the problem. I still have no Sales report. It did fix another issue on the dashboard. I could not access to my registers history by clicking on it. Now i can.

Any other idea for the sales report?

Allow me to provide some additional information about the Sales graph on the Dashboard. The data on the sales graph is based on the sales transactions in your account for the period specified. To further isolate the issue, I'd recommend filtering its report dates correctly by clicking the This month drop-down arrow. Then, pull up the Sales by Customer Summary report. This is to check the details of your sales graph if it matches.


To run the report, here's how:

  1. Click Reports in the left navigation menu.
  2. In the search field, type in Sales by Customer Summary.
  3. Set the Report period at the top.
  4. Click Run Report.

From there, compare the Sales graph and the data shown on the Sales by Customer Summary report.

All the sales reports are good in the report section. The issue is on the dashboard only. Whatever the period date nothing shoes up. I joined a screenshot of my dashboard that shows the profit and loss is populated but not the sales. 

I hope i'm clear enough. Again thanks for your precious time. Much appreciated. let me know if i'm missing or misunderstanding something here.

I've checked this issue here in our system and we have received no reports from other users getting the same challenges about Sales graph. With this being said, I'd recommend to get in touch with our Customer Care Team. They have the necessary tools to pull up your account in a secure environment and can do a screen share to further check your account.


To contact them, here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company account.
  2. Click the Help icon on the top right.
  3. Click Contact Us button at the bottom.
  4. Enter a short description about your concern.
  5. Click on Let's talk.
  6. Choose Get a callback or Start messaging.
  7. Enter your information.
  8. Select Call me or Send message.

Thanks again for your incredible reactivity. 

I already tried to use that channel but since yesterday it says unavailable on both solutions as the screenshot shows.

I don't really know what to do. Is it cause of the week end and should i wait until tomorrow?

First off, thank you for always updating us as you go along the steps given by Mirriam above. There’s actually a different way to contact our Email team, and I’m happy to share them with you.


  1. Open this link:
  2. Click the QuickBooks Online product.
  3. In the Contact us page, click on Search for something else.
  4. Enter a short summary of the scenario. Something like Sales tile on Dashboard is not showing data. Then, click Search.
  5. Scroll down and click Send email.

Alternatively, you can pull up your sales data using sales reports.

Hello there,

I have exactly the same issue as Reeflexdivers.

Sales reports, P&L and numbers are fine from the report function, but the Sales tile in the Dashboard is blank regardless of the time period selected.


I encountered this problem since 24 Aug 2019 as well and have been looking for a solution until I saw this posted issue by Reeflexdivers.  It was working perfectly fine prior to 24 Aug 2019. 

Were there some internal program coding changes in the last few days which might have created conflicts?

Your issue could be related to Reeflexdivers's that's why we recommended them to send us an email. 


I've checked our records. We have an ongoing investigation about the P&L tile not showing values on the Dashboard. This is already forwarded to our engineers and we're waiting for their updates. Right now, I would recommend getting in touch to our Chat or Phone team using MirriamM's steps above, so they can add you to the notification list.


While we're checking this out, you can run the Profit and Loss report to keep track of your income and expenses.


If you've seen other unusual behaviors like this, please don't hesitate to reach out. We'll check it for you.

As mentioned by JessT, our engineering team is now working for a solution to this unexpected behavior. While they are working for this, I recommend checking with our Support Team for you to be added to the list of affected users and automatically received an email notification with the latest updates.

Are there any updates on this? My sales dashboard also says 0 and i'm curious if that's something I have set up incorrectly (I can't remember if it said anything before) and now it doesn't? I don't do any sales through quickbooks, but we use stripe, so I assumed anything marked in COA as Sales would pull thru into this dashboard????

I've checked and verified that our product engineers are still working to fix this.


Meanwhile, you can pull up your sales data using sales report as suggested by my colleague JessT.  You'll want to check this article for more info about customizing reports.


Also, I suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Team so that you'll be added to the list of affected users. Follow these steps to get their contact info:


  1. Click Help (?).
  2. Click Contact us.
  3. Enter a short description of your concern ( Dashboard sales at zero ).
  4. Then, click Let's Talk.
  5. Click Get a callback.
  6. Enter your contact information.
  7. Select Call me.
