Do you understand how infuriating it is for a business owner to be slowed EVERY TIME to have to go across the office and grab that cell in to find the "ONE TIME CODE"

up till about a month ago I would use this same computer, same browser, same everything to sign in to quickbooksonline. Many times I just need something quick to look at because it never pulls all the info for a customer on my phone version so I'm already slowed down by having to go into the office to look something up and now EVERY TIME I'm having to go across the office and grab the cell phone that this was set up on to grab the stupid "one time code" that I usually would get maybe every 3-5 months. And now this is all compounded by going through the process of typing this in as if anyone from QB will actually see this and do something about it. whatevs.

Time is valuable when managing a business, and we aim to provide you with a hassle-free experience on QuickBooks Online (QBO), waterboys. Let’s verify if the 2-step verification feature is turned on, as this might be causing the repeated code prompts.

Here's how to inactivate the feature if you're using the same phone number:

  1. Log in to your Intuit Account.
  2. Go to the Sign in & security menu on the left panel to see more options
  3. In the 2-step verification section, turn off the Use 2-step verification switch.
  4. Enter your account password and click the Continue button.

A message will appear stating that 2-step verification has been disabled. After that, you will get an email confirming the update to your security settings.

In the event that the 2-step verification is disabled, please note that you might still be asked to complete it due to various factors like the device, network, or browser you’re using to access Intuit products. If we can't confirm a high level of trust based on these factors, you may be required to verify your identity to keep the account secure.

When you log in from a trusted device, you may still need to verify who you are due to factors like an ad blocker. To avoid this, add the *.intuit.com domain to your ad blocker's allow list or turn off the ad blocker for that domain.

I specifically left that off in the past because of this, it's still off.

@Rasa-LilaM  Now, this is just a theory, but have you perhaps considered that the reason there have been several threads complaining of having to perform 2-step verification despite having the function turned off is because...

...QBO is screwing up yet again?

I know, it's a crazy idea.
