Not just annoyed --- concerned as this is a financial application. I think Quickbooks may have been hacked: Initially the audio claimed to be a Quickbooks Q&A session in conjunction with Quickbooks, but later some of the audio has been entirely out of context.  It happened to me at first in the App; I contacted Support to ask how to disable it and was told to reinstall or stop using the app. It is worse in the browser and Chrome clearly reports the Quickbooks page as the source producing it.

Hi @Saicato,

I'll be clearing things up for you about these pop-ups.

This is our way of showing our customers what other features they can include or add to their product if they need it. In your case, if it isn't needed then you can simply close these pop-ups.

Learn more through this page: Marketing Preferences. This includes a short description as to why there are ads to our products, as well as the steps on how to opt-out from them.

As for your question about a refund, feel free to contact our Technical Support team for further assistance. They can check that query for you.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QBO company.
  2. Click the Help menu.
  3. Select Contact us

If you have other questions, place them in the comments below. I'll be sure to get back to you.

The audio is usually so out of context of anything related to Quickbooks that I find it hard to believe this is a marketing feature, or at least an intended one. There is no separate window to close the audio from; you can only close Quickbooks to stop it. Trying to access the Account and Settings > Marketing Preferences does not work---from the app it brings up a blank screen and from the browser it gets a "site can't be reached" error trying to reachprivacy.intuit.com/cpi/do/signin.
