don't want decimal places on budget

When I create a budget it does not give the option to not have decimal places for the numbers. Is there a way to shut that off?

don't want decimal places on budget

Hello there, @larryfrommissouri.

It's nice to see your post in the QuickBooks Community. I'm here to share some options on how not to have decimal places for the numbers when creating a budget.

You can change the number format in your account settings so that it won't show the decimals.

Here's how:

  1. At the top right, click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and Settings.
  3. On the left pane, select the Advanced tab.
  4. Click the Pencil icon on the Other preferences section.
  5. In the Number format drop-down, select 123 456,00.

That also changes the dollar amounts on the reports.

However, if changing the settings isn't suitable, you can run the budget report then customize it to make them whole numbers without cents.

Here's how:

  1. Go to either Budget Overview or Budget vs Actuals report.
  2. At the top right, click Customize.
  3. From the General section, put a check mark in the Without cents box under Number format.
  4. Click Run report.

That should do it. Let me know if you have any other questions about how to remove the decimals when creating a budget. I'll be happy to help you out.
