Last month, I sync our QB with Square to easily match sales transaction but noticed this had caused our sales to be accounted for twice, resulting in overstated income. Income by customer summary report shows a line for "Square Customer", I'm just thinking of deleting this but can't trace them in the bank register. I believe these were already matched and reconciled correctly.

Let's modify the settings of your Sync with Square, RuzzetteAng.
The transactions' mapping was probably incorrect. This is why QBO created the Square Customer as a default account with duplicate entries.
To change the mapping settings:
Once done, the transactions that were imported will stay the same. You'll have to manually delete the duplicates. When you sync your transactions next time, the changes will take effect to match your new settings.

Tried deleting the transactions manually but they still appear, this time as Undeposit Funds. We are no longer in sync with the Square app as I disconnected a few days ago. How to permanently remove these double entries without affecting other accounts?

Since manually deleting the transactions did not work on your end, I'd suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Team. They are the best resource for such this type of issue, as they're able to request account information to pull up your company and share sensitive information, while this is a public forum. Once they have this information, they'll be able to further assist with determining the details of the transaction and why is it showing as a duplicate transaction on your account.

Thank you for your detailed reply. I'll try contacting customer service for this. Is it possible to just delete the "Square Income" account? I believe these are duplicates so I won't be needing it anymore.

Allow me to get this issue sorted out.
Yes, you can delete the account if you are no longer using it. This will not erase your data, your transactions and reports will remain in the file. You can also restore the deleted accounts any time.

I already deleted the account but the transaction is still in the record. Because this is duplicate, I think this is resulting in an overstatement of Income. The amount still included in the total income. Any tips on how to fix/adjust this?
