Enter Bills Column Shifted - Can't Move back

Desktop Pro 2018

I already know the columns in the Enter Bills screen can't be moved, but somehow the 'class' column shifted on its own and now I can't move it back.  It's only on the 'items' tab, not the 'expenses' tab.  It doesn't happen on another company file, so this file is obviously bugged somewhere.  I ran the verify data, rebuild data, and the file doctor.  No issues were found.  If anyone knows of a way to figure out where the bug is I'd greatly appreciate it.

Great job for running the verify and rebuild data. It's the first step to take when unexpected behavior occurs on your company file.


Let's check what shifted the Class column when creating a bill. Since this behavior doesn't happen to the other file, you can update QuickBooks Desktop. It's important to perform this regularly to give you a better experience and fix issues.


Here's how to update:

  1. Go to the Help menu and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Go to the Update Now tab.
  3. You can select the Reset Update checkbox to clear all previous update downloads.
  4. Select Get Updates to start the download.
  5. When the download finishes, restart QuickBooks.
  6. When prompted, accept the option to install the new release.
  7. The latest available release for 2018 is R15.
