Error message when sending out recurring invoices? Nothing was changed "Your email subject contains invalid characters or emojis. Please remove those before sending."?

Hello, jwales.

What this means is that the subject line of the email (below who you're sending it too and above the actual email) has characters included in it that cannot be sent, examples may include but aren't limited to "^, #, $, %" so, I would make sure that you remove any characters other than letters and see if that helps.

If you need anything else, I'm just a few clicks away.

Hello

I am getting this same message. I have removed all characters but still get the same message and my email won't deliver...

Thanks for reaching out to the Community, ncrg.

Let's isolate this unusual behavior by accessing your QuickBooks Online account using a private or incognito window. This way, we can see if this is a web browser-related issue. You can use any of these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If this works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache. This will remove the stored cache or cookies to refresh your browser. You can also use other supported browsers as an alternative.

If the issue continues, I recommend contacting the QuickBooks Online Team to investigate this further.

In addition, you can check this article that contains info on how to resolve issues when customers not receiving your invoices: 3 solutions for you when customers aren't receiving your emails.

If there's anything else I can do for you please post them here. I'll be glad to assist you more.

Delivery Error: Your email subject contains invalid characters or emojis. Please remove those before sending.

Last week this was happening and Quickbooks customer support told me that it is an internal issue and the engineers are working on it, 5 days later they said they resolved the issue. It was resolved for about a few days and yet again is still showing: Delivery Error: Your email subject contains invalid characters or emojis. Please remove those before sending.

I tried different browsers/PC and Mac/ Iphone quickbooks app and all are not sending invoices and receiving this error.

Very frustrating as I never ran into this problem in the past and this is an ongoing issue.

Please get this fixed and/or let me know how to resolve this problem as I have to hard copy link each invoice and its layout is not as professional and clean looking as the original invoices being sent trough quickbooks.

Delivery Error: Your email subject contains invalid characters or emojis. Please remove those before sending.

Talked to customer supports last month and they told me it was an internal issue and their Engineers were working to fix this problem.

They resolved it several days late, it worked for a few days, and yet again receiving the same error message.

I tried different browsers/ PC and Mac/ quickbooks intuit app on iphone and still not able to send out invoice emails.

Please Fix this issue and /or help me to fix this as it is very frustrating and may have to look into using a different invoice system as it is failing.

They said multiple customers are having the same problems, gave me 50% off for 12 months.

As a discount is great and all I really need this issue resolved ASAP as sending customers the hard link does not cleanly display our invoice.

I will be looking into alternatives if this problem is not fixed soon.

Bummed.
