fields available in pulldown customer and vendor setup

Does anyone have a full list of the fields available in both the customer and vender pull down lists for entering new customers and vendors?   I am building a file in excel for each so that I can upload them for a new client.

Sure appreciate your help.

It's nice to have you in the Community. I'd be happy to help and share some steps on how you can get a list of the fields available in both the customer and vendor list.

 

You can export files that contain all the information on the Customer and Vendor list. To view the list, you can follow the keyboard shortcuts below: 

  • List>Customer:Jobs= Shift-Command-J
  • List>Vendors= Shift-Command-V

When you view the file, use the keyword VEND for the Vendor list and CUST for Customer:Job list. 

 

For more information, I recommend checking pages 239 and 250 on the QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2019 User’s Guide article.

 

Also, the phone support agents will be able to assist you in getting this resolved. Here's how you can reach them:

  1. Go to https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.
  2. At the top right, select your QuickBooks version.
  3. Select a topic.
  4. Click on the Get Phone Number button.

That should point you in the right direction today.

Thanks for asking.  I am not in the same town as the client. They have the software and book.  I can drive out their and catch the bookkeeper but would rather just keep looking for the 2 lists.  If anyone has them I would love a copy.

Allow me to step in in this conversation and provide some insights with this concern. 

 

Your QuickBooks transactions will be kept only on your company file. We don't have a copy nor the list of your customers and vendors. The best thing that we can do right now is to reach out to your bookkeeper and ask for the list.
