Financial Reports and Reporting Features

I am trying to compare sales by item for two different time periods; there doesent seem to be a way without printing two different reports and manually comping. Does QB not have a simple report to see if sales on specific inventory items I am selling are increasing or decreasing?

I am using Desktop Premier Manufacturing.

Tried running Sales by Item Summary, but can only put in one tiem period. Help!

Re: Financial Reports and Reporting Features

Welcome and thank you for posting here in the Community, @Chrisgr699.

I'm here to help run report in QuickBooks Desktop showing the two time periods.

You may need to customize the date range of what periods you want to compare and show columns by Year or Month depending on what you're comparing. Let me show you how:

  1. On the report's page, customize the dates.
  2. Click the drop-down arrow beside Show Columns.
  3. Select Year or select the specific time period you wanted to compare.

That would do it. Let us know if you have any other concerns, we're always here to help. Have a great day ahead!
