For the past several weeks, some clients are receiving duplicate invoice reminders. We do have reminders turned on, but they are going out a minute apart. Any idea why?

We have the reminders to go out 3 days before the due date and 3 days after, however twice now an automated duplicate email was sent in the middle of the night only a minute apart.  None of the emails are duplicated. Any idea how to fix this?

I appreciate you providing details about your duplicate invoice reminder concern in QuickBooks Online, @KC1986. I'll gladly help you get rid of the duplicates. 

 

Normally, sending reminders does not result in duplicate transactions. It'll simply include a PDF copy of the original invoice. To rectify the issue, ensure that no recurring invoices are scheduled for that particular customer. 

 

Here's how to check it:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Recurring transactions.
  3. Check if there's an active recurring invoice for that customer.
  4. If you find one, select the drop-down arrow from the Action column.
  5. Choose Delete, then click Yes to confirm the changes.

 

Once done, recreate your recurring invoice template. It's also possible that the previous template is defective which caused the issue. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Settings , then click Recurring transactions.
  2. Select New.
  3. Select the type of transaction to create, and then select OK.
  4. Enter a Template name.
  5. Select a Type: Scheduled, Unscheduled, or Reminder.

I have the same issue. And this answer in no way addresses it. QBs send out a reminder to a customer, with an unpaid invoice, automatically (whatever time frame is set). The reminder is getting duplicated. Multiple times...
