Normally, sending reminders does not result in duplicate transactions. It'll simply include a PDF copy of the original invoice. To rectify the issue, ensure that no recurring invoices are scheduled for that particular customer.

I have the same issue. And this answer in no way addresses it. QBs send out a reminder to a customer, with an unpaid invoice, automatically (whatever time frame is set). The reminder is getting duplicated. Multiple times...
