I'll make sure you can use the vendor search field seamlessly, @WarMarshall.
So far, we haven't received similar issues about a vendor search bar malfunction. No worries, I have some solutions to get you back up and running again.
The missing or vendor search bar malfunction can be due to the outdated cache files stored in your web browser. QuickBooks Online (QBO) collects these files to load pages quickly and improve your browsing experience. This way, you don't have to access repetitive text and images every time.
However, too much of them can lead to unusual QuickBooks responses. To isolate this, you can use a private browser (incognito). This session doesn't store any cache or cookies. Hence, a perfect place to fix issues like this.
The following are the shortcut keys you can use to access one:
- Ctrl+ Shift + N for Google Chrome .
- Ctrl + Shift + P for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge .
- Command + Shift + N for Safari .
Once done, please sign in to QuickBook and access the vendor search bar again.
If it works this time, please go back to your original browser and clear its cache. This way, the system can revert to its default state and start a clean slate. Another option is to use another supported web engine.
Also, we offer an extensive guide on QBO's search functions that you may find helpful. This way, you can locate transactions or details easily. For more insights, please head to this article: Search for transactions.
