Has anyone ever had issues with changing your address and phone number in your account ? I cannot get the verification code required and after a month still no help

they keep making me send in info to verify it is me. still no changes made. It is a 7 digit phone number....JUST CHANGE IT ALREADY

There are times the browser is full of cache data and causes issues that affect the performance of QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

To verify this issue, I recommend accessing your account in a private or incognito window. This is a great tool in identifying a cache data issue as this doesn't save any files. 

 

To open a private window, you can refer to these keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome browser)
  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge browser)
  • Press keys: Command + Shift + N (Safari browser)

 

If you’re able to update your account information, I’d suggest clearing your regular browser's cache. If the issue persists, I recommend using other supported browsers. This way, we can check if this is a browser-integrated issue.

Your answer is complete garbage, just like the rest of the answers in this place.  You have no idea what you are doing to a company when you don't allow the user to make changes and If you cannot verify my identity after I send In documents to the "secure server" and fax them in, and I have been on the phone for over a month literally trying to get this resolved.  I am at my end.  this software is stealing my money and my life

I CANNOT change my info because I no longer have the phone numbers to retrieve the code you are supposedly going to send so I have contacted everyone I can to get you guys to change it, and still NOTHING

Since you no longer have access to the phone number, you can send a request to our Account Protection Team to update your contact information number. Take note that we'll be needing a clear photo or scan of your driver's license, passport, or any government-issued ID for verification purposes.

 

Make sure not to include or show your Social Security number in any document you upload to protect your privacy. When you're ready, please open this link to fill out the form: Recover your account when you can't sign in. Then, enter your updated phone number in the Phone Number field and tick the Please add my phone number to my account checkbox.

 

Once submitted, we'll take care of your request within one business day. You'll also receive an email from us with the next steps.
