Has anyone noticed that QB invoice generation from timecards is O(N**2)? It takes seconds for < 30 entries, minutes for 100 and never finishes for > 300.

I opened an issue about a year ago, but QB support never follows up on them so not sure if they even looked at it.

This isn't the kind of experience I want you to have when adding timecards to your invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @vassili-gorshkov. That's why I'm here to share further details about this.

The processing time in QBO when you add timecards to your invoices will depend on the device you use and internet speed. When you encounter a little delay or latency when processing greater than 300 entries, I'd recommend reducing its number or quantity per invoice. Then, you'll need to repeat the process until you've recorded all billable transactions. This way, you'll be able to keep your account updated.

In QBO, you can invoice customers for specific project-related expenses (including timesheets) when you set up the Projects feature. You can learn more about this through this article: Invoice customers for project expenses. It also contains steps about sending individual expenses or timesheets as an invoice.

Additionally, you can import design custom form styles for your invoices in QBO. This way, you can add your company info to highlight your brand and reflect your identity into your sales forms. For the step-by-step guide, you can check out this article: Import custom form styles for invoices. It also includes answers to the most frequently asked questions about the said topic.

Please know that you're always welcome to comment below if you have other concerns or follow-up inquiries about managing invoices and billable transactions in QBO. I'm just around to help. Take care.
