Helping a friend with her business accounting. She uses business credit card for pedicures before business meetings with clients. If not ok, how to correct past entries.

She's in Architecture Design. She does the pedicure as a confidence booster before meeting with clients. You look good, you feel good.

I would definitely recommend checking with an accountant to see if pedicures would be deductible as a business expense.  (Foot model, etc.)

 

If not, then the same accountant should be able to advise on how to correct for past entries.

Everything I'm reading says "no", they cannot claim that as a business deduction.  That being said, it doesn't necessarily mean it cannot be used as a business expense... just cant claim it during tax time.

 

Again, the rules for something like this can be very strict and detailed.  I'd recommend getting advice directly from an accountant.
