Thank you for posting, @mavi

Yes, you can add those taxes in your invoices.

You’ll just have to turn on the VAT feature from the VAT menu from the left tab. From here, QuickBooks Online (QBO) automatically creates default tax rates for you.

Then, a VAT column will be added on your invoices page.

Turn on tax tracking:

  1. Select VAT on the left menu and select Set up tax.
  2. Set up the tax agency then select Next.
  3. Follow the steps to finish the setup and select Done.

Here's how you can create additional tax rates:

  1. Go to the VAT menu and select Add Tax.
  2. Choose which type of tax rate you want to set up and enter the details of your tax rate.
  3. Select Done when finished.

You can now create an invoice with tax rate. Here’s more information: How do I set up sales GST/VAT rates and use them on forms? (International QBO).

We can setup sales tax easily in QBO. But you have to make sure to choose the right QBO version to your country. Where are you located in Africa? There is QBO South Africa.

You're welcome, @mavi

The VAT menu that I'm referring to is located below the Reports tab. Check the screenshot below:
