Hi, ShipMethodRef in SalesReceipt Create says "There is no shipping method list. Reference resolves to a string. " Where do i get the VALUE from since it's required?

I see you're needing to add a shipping method to the sales receipt that's going to be created inside the customer I can show you.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Sales tab.

2. Now select Customers.

3. Here you'll edit the customer and add a shipping address.

Hi, Sarah, thanks for your reply, but it seems it's not what i'm looking for. Fist, I'm using the API, so i don't want to make any manual updates. Then, it's not associated with a customer, it's more like a general label for a shipping method. For example, orders 1,2,3 have customers A,B,C and shipping addresses D,E,F. But they all were shipped via USPS, and that's what i need to create - a "USPS" shipping method reference. At least, that's how it was in the desktop version and i'm trying to accommodate this logic to QB online via the API.

Hello.  did you ever figure out how to create a ship method list on QB online?  seems ridiculous to have to type in a ship method every time I enter a sales transaction.

The Ship via option in QuickBooks Online is an open text field and there isn't yet a way to create drop-down fields for shipping type.
