Hi there! I just need to put down my expenses briefly. Category/Description/Payment method/Date/Amount. Where is the best way to do it, expenses are not working?

Let me help you create an expense transaction, irene9.

I've checked here on our end and there's no reported case where customers unable to create an expense in QuickBooks Online (QBO). It's possible the browser's cache data is full or damaged preventing you from creating an expense transaction. To better isolate if this is a browser issue or not, let's access QuickBooks Online (QBO) using a private or incognito window.

Here's how:

  • Google ChromeCtrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla FirefoxCtrl + Shift + P
  • Internet ExplorerCtrl + Shift + P
  • SafariCommand + Shift + N

Then, try creating an expense again.

If it works, go back to your original browser and clear the browser's cache to delete the temporary Internet files. You can also use a supported, up-to-date browser to be thorough.

If the same thing happens, try clearing Intuit-specific cookies to fresh website preferences. Just follow the steps and details in this article: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online. Then, go to Step 2: Clear Intuit-specific cookies from your browser section.

I have a link here that provides you with articles about managing your expenses: Enter expenses, pay bills, and write check.

Keep me posted if you need a hand with paying bills and expenses or any QBO related. I'll be here to help.
