How are users suppose to know that on the "Pending Builds" reports, the "Qty" column actually represents the "To Be Built Qty"?

I think that column should be re-labeled as "To Be Built Qty", or QB could put a subtitle indicating that the "Qty" column represents "To Be Built Qty".

Is there some sort of documentation provided by QB, that indicates that on the Pending Builds reports, the "Qty" column is the "To Be Built Qty"?

Hello, @Dav.

I can see you posted the same question twice. Click this link to view my colleague's response on the other thread: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/reports-and-accounting/re-improvement-request-quic....

To keep the conversation streamlined, I ask that you leave any follow-ups there.

Re: How are users suppose to know that on the "Pending Builds" reports, the "Qty" column actually...

Hi All  -

I'm still wondering about these questions.

No answer has been provided yet to the questions:

1. How are users suppose to know that on the "Pending Builds" reports, the "Qty" column actually represents the "To Be Built Qty"?

2. Where and how does QuickBooks communicate that information?   Where is that documented?

(Hi @KhimG and QuickBooks Team -  just to clairfy, this question is not the same as a post I made a while back.  The topics are related, but this post has specific questions I'd like answered.)

Thanks for getting back to the Community, @Dav.

Let me share some insights about the Pending Build reports in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

When creating build assembly, you need to enter a quantity in the Quantity To Build field and then, you have an option to make it as pending. This will reflect on the Pending Build report which represents as "To be Build Qty".

For additional reference, you can pull up the Pending Build report and click the Help option at the top menu bar in your QuickBooks. It will show you the documented information about the Build Pending feature.

You can also check this article to learn more on how to manage your Inventory: Create, build, and work with inventory assembly items

Don't hesitate to leave a comment below if you have any other concerns about the pending build report. I'll be around to help.
