How can I allow customers to add a gratuity to an invoice ??

Allowing customers to add a gratuity to an invoice isn't available, chef-theghostkit.

 

You can use the Tip tracking feature to hard-wired it into an invoice. Simply add a service item for the gratuity and include it on the transaction.

 

Before doing so, let's make sure to turn on the feature, so we can select the Undistributed Tips account when you set up the item.

 

Let me show you how:

 

  1. Click Settings ⚙️, then Account and Settings.
  2. On the left panel, select Sales and click the Sales form content section to expand the options.
  3. Put a checkmark on the Tips (Gratuity) box.
  4. Depending on who receives the tip.
  5. Depending on who receives the tip:
    • Select My Team if you use tips to pay your employees or others. This will create a liabilities account for tips.
    • Select Just me if you only pay tips to yourself. This will create an income account for tips.
  6. Confirm the template switch, then select Okay. This will update your template to an optimized layout.
  7. Click Save.
