Thanks for connecting with us. Let me help you change the work category for an employee.

 

Just to clarify, are you referring to changing the employee's work location in QuickBooks Online (QBO)? If so, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to Workers and choose the Employees tab.
  2. Choose and click on the employee's name.
  3. Click on the pencil icon in the Employment section.
  4. Select a new location under the Work location drop down. Otherwise, click on New Work Location to create one if you don't already have it.
  5. Click on Done.
