Buy nowI've got your back to help you delete the Product/services pre-fill from the invoice section, @taionl.
Let's remove the incorrect item on the invoice and create a new one. This way, you can capitalize all letters in for Products/Services field.
Here's how to do it:
You can use this link as a reference regarding invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed: Create invoices. It also covers some information on how to process invoice payments.
Moreover, I've added this resource in case you'll need to learn how sales tax works in QuickBooks Self-Employed: Manually track sales tax.
We'll be right here if you have additional questions about managing your invoices in QBSE. I'll be glad to help you again. Keep safe and have a pleasant day!
Hi, @taionl.
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about deleting the product/services concern you had the other day. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at any time.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
I tried that before posting the question, error message says "Another product or service is already using this name. Please use a different name". How can I delete the pre-sets? So I don't get this message
It still didn't work, I get a error message that say "Another product or service is already using this name. Please use a different name".
How do I delete the existing title in pre-set to add it again spelled correctly?
Thank you
Thank you for the prompt reply, @taionl. I'll help clear things up for you.
Same as what my peer @Rubielyn_J stated above, you'll need to enter a product/service. Please note that you'll need to enter the name of the product/service a bit differently. The system doesn't accept a product/service with the same name, regardless of the letter case.
I suggest keeping this article for future reference: Manually track sales tax in QuickBooks Self-Employed. It's a detailed guide on how you can track sales tax by hand in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).
Post a reply in the comments below if you have other questions about managing invoices in QBSE. I'll be sure to get back to you. Have a nice day!
Are you saying that there is no way to delete a product or service that we do not need or want? That the only option is to create it with different spelling/wording? I really need to delete the items that are not correct so that they do not accidentally used on invoices.
Thank you for joining the thread, @Frog14.
I recognize the importance of having the option to delete an inventory with incorrect details inside QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). As I've checked here on my resources, that option you're trying to access inside the program is unavailable. It would be a great feature to have inside QuickBooks. That said, I'd recommend sending a feature request to our Product Development Team. They'll see your recommendation and consider it for future program updates.
I'll gladly input the steps below to get you going. To begin, here's how:
Moreover, here's an article if you'd like to add old transactions inside your QBSE account: Add older transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
@Frog14, you can post here again if you have any additional QuickBooks-related concerns. I have all the time to help you sort them out. Stay safe, and have a nice day!
