How can I edit a duplicated previous entry (as prompted by Quick Books for easy entry of new data) but I am blocked from updating or editing any of the entries.

Allow me to share ideas about editing a duplicate entry in QuickBooks.

We're unable to edit a previous entry if the transaction number you've entered is already recorded in QuickBooks. Just make sure to add new a transaction number that hasn't been entered in QuickBooks. This way, you can add or edit any transactions without issues.
